USER-Participatie, meetinstrument voor poliklinische revalidatie

De USER-Participatie is een meetinstrument om het effect van poliklinische revalidatie voor volwassenen te evalueren. Er is ook een versie voor gebruik bij jongeren beschikbaar.

In de polikliniek liggen doelen vaak op het niveau van maatschappelijk functioneren, ook wel participatie genoemd. Met de USER-Participatie worden objectieve gegevens gemeten; hoeveel uur besteedt iemand per week aan bijvoorbeeld werk of huishouden. Maar er wordt ook naar de subjectieve beleving gevraagd. Dit geeft een compleet beeld en is een handig hulpmiddel voor professionals. Een voorbeeld: als iemand nooit kookt, is het niet zinvol om weer leren koken als doel op te nemen in het behandelprogramma.

De USER-participatie is ontwikkeld in het project Meten=Weten2.

Publicaties

In 2013 promoveerde Carlijn van der Zee op dit onderwerp met het proefschrift “Measuring participation in rehabilitation medicine”. Het proefschrift beschrijft de ontwikkeling, validatie en bruikbaarheid van de Utrechtse Schaal voor Evaluatie van Revalidatie-Participatie (USER-Participatie).
